The balanced, double-tapered design of these Ranchuu chopsticks honors the ancient belief in the act of eating as sharing a meal with the divine - one end for us, one end for the gods. This style is tradionally used for holidays, ceremonies, and other special occasions. These chopsticks are smoothly squared in the middle to fit comforably in hand, and their extra length creates an elegant stroke to help you savor every bite.
Like all Hirohashi chopsticks, these are made from the trimmings of Yoshino lumber, which has been forested with careful tending and replanting practices for hundreds of years.
