Based in Sendai, Japan, Oshinsha/奥心舎 is a craft shop specialized in international market, bridging artisans with international audiences. We work with a diverse network of studios across Japan and Taiwan, bringing their work and stories to a global audience through our online store, pop-up events, exhibitions, workshops, and creative collaborations with artists and designers from around the world.
This multipurpose knife is sharp and has a small turning radius, making it very useful for all purposes such as cutting meat, fish, vegetables, and peeling fruits. The blade is hand-forged, using a technique called kuro-uchi, which has been traditionally handed down in Kurayoshi. For the handle, it is finished with a wild cherry branch segment.
