This one-of-a-kind charm is made using a technique called musubiori, or knotting, in which rope threads are stretched over the warp threads using a special loom, and bundles of thread are tied together. Like all Orimon-ya products, this piece is completely handmade, from growing the cotton from seeds, to dyeing the threads, to weaving and finishing.
